Glen Springs Road
"We love hour house, but there's this atrium in the middle that is just a big nothing. We're not sure what we want, but we know we don't want to have to maintain it."
Intended as the centerpiece of the house, the space felt cut off and dull.
How to enliven this space, while keeping it maintenance-free?
Sadness under the stairs.
The space was dull and wanting.
Accent the Vertical
Hundreds of vertical tiles were painstakingly set by our Craftsman, Travis Calloway.
The Facelift Begins
Flats & Curves
The travertine tiles defined and distinguished the atrium.
Now we have a real Centerpiece.
Like a gallery.
Special lighting was positioned on the atrium floor to highlight the new pieces, then blue river stones were added.
All around the Stairs
Sorrow and sadness, turned into Gladness.
A favorite piece from Asian Ceramics.
